7 weeks post lipo, I am seeing minimal results and I basically look the same as before. My lower abdomen is hard and the belly button does not look normal. Why does it look this way and when do lumps and hardness go away? Also, I weigh the same exact weight as pre-surgery, 135 pounds. I know lipo is not a weight loss procedure however, will I see some weight difference even if it's water? When could I be ready to wear a bikini or tight dress? I am wearing the shown compression garment 24/7.

Answer: Swelling You are still very early in the healing process and still have swelling. Over the next 4 months the swelling will gradually go down. Please follow your surgeon's instructions about wearing garments, massage, and exercise.

Answer: Liposuction Recovery You are correct in that liposuction is not a weight loss tool. You may see a pound or two difference once swelling subsides. Liposuction is used or contouring and removing stubborn fatty deposits that are superficial. That being said, any fat that is visceral and located inside your abdominal cavity around your organs can only be treated with proper diet and exercise. Swelling post liposuction is guaranteed and can lasts 3-6 months before you begin to see your final results. Continue to wear your compression garment and follow up with your surgeon for possible massage techniques for reducing swelling faster.
