How long do you need to wear foam under compression garment for upper and lower abdomen?

I had vaser lipo on my upper and lower abdomen 6 days ago. I change rotate my garments 4 times a day and massage as much as I can. I am using foam in my garment to try and help with lumps and some creases but I s find the foam edges often leave indentation in my stomach. I am getting a board today to try but am wondering how long people typically use the foam. I'm trying to make sure my stomach comes out as smooth as possible.

I recommend following up with your Doctor about their protocol regarding foam. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Thank you for sharing your question.  Each surgeon will have their own respective protocols for patients after surgery and it would be best to reach out to yours to obtain the best information.  In general foam is best used when additional compression is desired over a particular area and can be used for up to 6 weeks or longer. Not every surgeon recommends foam or a garment so you should probably address this question directly to your surgeon. My patients tend to wear garments for 3-6 weeks.
