I don’t really like my face shape. I feel like i have too much cheek fat and not enough chin/jaw definition. It’s all a mess. I’d like to make everything more defined and was thinking buccal fat removal + 1 vial of Kybella would help. Suggestions? Is there even enough fat for the removal is it it just that I don’t have enough length between my neck and my chin?
Answer: Facial improvement Thank you for your question. I would be very careful about considering buccal fat pad removal or the use of Kybella to improve your facial shape. It does appear as though your chin is slightly recessed and you may benefit from a chin augmentation. In addition, your mid-face might benefit from a small amount of fat grafting. Again, I would be very careful about removing fat from your face because as we age we typically lose fat and this contributes to an aging look. I would urge you to see a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in facial rejuvenation before making any final decision. Good luck!

Answer: Would Kybella improve my face/add definition? I would recommend buccal fat minimal removal, KyBella with lipo under chin, a chin implant in combination. Fee range in $10,000+/-.

Answer: Kybella/buccal fat removal Hi, and thanks for your question. I would recommend multiple rounds of Kybella to remove the fat in your areas of concern. My patients have a very high satisfactory rating when using Kybella in the face. Synthetic deoxycholic acid is the ingredient used in Kybella, which is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of fat. When injected into fat, Kybella destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness on the face. Buccal fat removal would also be a good option, however, I do not think you would be happy with buccal fat removal as you do not have much fat in the buccal area, and you do not want to have a "gaunt look" because that sunken in look will only get worse as you get older. Your main concern is probably your jowl and under the chin area, which would improve with Kybella (non-invasive) or liposuction (invasive). Please see a board-certified physician for your consultation. Best of luck to you!
