Could Kybella help fat around jowls, or buccal fat removal? (Photo)

Hello I would like to know what would be the best treatment for fat pads around my jowls They make me look older . Would kybella be the best option or Buccal fat removal

Based upon the 1 posted photo I recommend combination of buccal fat removal with KyBella to peri-oral mounds. Fee in the $8,000 ranges.

Kybella is not FDA improved in these areas and using it inappropriately can cause substantial complications.

If used in the jowls it is high risk for creating facial nerve paralysis. The condition may be temporary but it’s fairly impressive when it happens and the jowls should not be treated with this technique.

Likewise injecting Kybella deep into the cheek trying to reduce the buccal fat pad is inappropriate compared to surgical removal which is the standard of care.

I recommend scheduling in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons to get a better understanding of treatment options.

Overall Kybella is inferior to alternative treatments and is not the best option. Most plastic surgeons do not favor this product.
