Sleeping on your side after rhinoplasty?

I had a rhinoplasty 8 days ago and I woke up and found myself sleeping on my side could my nose be possibly crooked now? Can I damage it? And also when can I sleep on my side without any consequences happening to my nose

At 8 days after the surgery the shape of the nose should be fairly stable. The nose tissue is not like clay, which could be easily deformed by minor pressure on it. The cast that was on your nose provides protection while it is on. After it is removed the nose has already undergone a significant healing process. Wile sleeping it is unlikely that you have suffered a deformity of the nose from only modest pressure that might have occurred during that time. I would be patient at this point and see how the swelling resolves over the next month or two, and then re-evaluate it.

At 8 days post op your nose can move.  I would not sleep on my side, yet.  This could damage the nose.  Contact your surgeon for an in person evaluation to confirm you are healing well.
