Why would scar not fill in? (Pohto)

I used to use Alloderm for lips quite a bit, but with HA fillers getting better I haven't done it in many years. It is essentially an off-the-shelf alternative to dermal fat grafts, so should work about the same but cost more.

Most of the pain should resolve within 3-4 months, but it can take up to a year for the pain to subside completely.  Alloderm should be fully incorporated into your tissue within a year. Ask your doctor if he feels breast massage may help loosen up your scar tissue.

Typically Alloderm will incorporate into the tissue of the body.  If the sling was done to hold the inframammary fold the internal suture line can hurt for 6-8 weeks. Hope this helps, Dr. T
