Can I perform chin liposuction + facial fat grafting at the same time?

Hi, I am interested in having chin liposuction done because i have double chin. At the same time i want to have facial fat transfer done to fill my face in some areas like cheeks, under eyes, forehead, also chin area. My question is: Can i perform chin lipo and facial fat transfer at the same time? My only worry is because of the chin headband corset. It needs to be worn after liposuction but i think it will affect the fat transfer done on some parts of the face...what is your advice?

That said, we do not endorse nor offer facial fat grafting, since we feel there are better alternatives for restoring permanent facial volume, like microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections. The facial garment used following liposuction to the chin applies a diffuse pressure over the face and is unlikely to disturb the fat transfer. If you want to provide extra protection to the areas of fat transfer, you can use a first layer of Soffban or a similar material beneath the garment to cushion the pressure.

That said, the two procedures are generally compatible, and it is very unlikely that the transferred fat would be displaced by the use of the facial garment.

Both these procedures can easily be done at the same time without any significant contraindication.
Most likely will need to be harvested from another area in conjunction.
I generally don’t prefer facial fat grafting because the procedure tends to be unpredictable, imprecise, and potentially unforgiving if patients don’t like the outcome.
 Likewise, the ability to deliver consistent quality liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize.
Poorly done that Liposuction can leave people permanently disfigured.
The number of plastic surgeons approach of both Liposuction and fat to the face is small.
By far the most important variable is going to be provider selection.
 Finding the right plastic surgeon is hardly difficult and most patients don’t do a very good job at it.
Both of these procedures can leave regret and disappointment finding the right provider usually takes a substantial amount of work and having insight into the procedures.
Your compression garment is not going to have an issue, but not finding the right plastic surgeon is.
 to find the right provider, patience, schedule multiple in person consultations with plastic surgeons in their community who seem to have a strong reputation for the procedures your interested in.
Recognize that you need to vet the provider for both their skill in facial fat transfer and chin and neck liposuction.
 Bring pictures of yourself to use as reference during the consultation.
This is important.
Not everybody seeking these procedures are good candidates for them.
The fact that you want these procedures, doesn’t mean that you’re a good candidate for them and you need to understand if and why you are a good candidate or not.
 During consultation ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of the before, and after pictures of previous patients who had similar facial characteristics to your own for whatever procedure they are recommending.
Individuals who form a double chin universally have an underdeveloped mandible.
A double chin is not having an abnormal fat distribution, but is something that happens based on certain types of facial skeletal structures.When reviewing before, and after pictures, you need to make sure that the person in the picture has similar facial characteristics to your own period.
Seeing results of patients who were exceptional candidates may give an understanding of results that may not be applicable to you.
There’s nothing wrong with having liposuction and facial fat transfer in conjunction, but both these procedures have a significant degree of variation And patient satisfaction based on who you choose.
This is the most important thing to consider.
