I got 2 crowns on my front teeth a year ago and I’m not happy! My dentist is going to redue them but says if I want a perfect match and smile she would have to at least do all 4 front but that 6 would be better. I’m so scared to crown teeth that don’t need to be done but at the same time even more scared of my teeth not matching. What should I do? 4? Or 6? She says that the I teeth are hard to match the other 4 front ones is to do 6 the only way to achieve a ferfect match?

Whether or not you can simply replace a post and crown after it has come depends on several factors that only seeing a dentist can answer.
If there is a cavity or fracture of the remaining tooth may not make it practical or possible to recement it. If it has come out one or more times...
Normally a retainer would need no adjusting if you are bonding to the incisal edge to lengthen them. that being said, if you are planning on restoring them with crowns or veneers, that usually changes the thickness, thus needing a new retainer.
Hi:You can replace the gold teeth with Emax porcelain crowns. Keep in mind more tooth structure may need to be taken away in order to have a porcelain crown.Best,Dr. Maddahi
