This is just a thought, but you might consider recontouring your central incisors and shortening them just slightly to get the same proportion that you're looking for without adding porcelain  or bonding that require some level of maintenance and replacement over time. Normally a retainer would need no adjusting if you are bonding to the incisal edge to lengthen them.  that being said, if you are planning on restoring them with crowns or veneers, that usually changes the thickness, thus needing a new retainer.
