I'm thinking fat graft and then maybe canthopexy to lift lower lids. Also, is the hollowing of my eyes due to lack of fat or bone as I'm not sure
Answer: Dermal Filler and/or Fat Transfer Hello! My name is Jessica, I am a physician assistant, and one of the providers at Aesthetic Skin - Winnetka & Chicago. This is a great question. To address hollow eyes, which can create a tired or sunken appearance, the most effective options are dermal filler and/or fat transfer. Dermal fillers, typically made of hyaluronic acid, can be carefully injected into the tear trough area to restore volume, smooth the transition between the lower eyelid and the cheek, and reduce the shadowing that contributes to a hollow look. This option offers immediate results with minimal downtime and is reversible if needed. For a more permanent solution, fat transfer involves using your own fat—typically harvested from another area of your body—and injecting it into the under-eye region to achieve a similar volumizing effect. Both treatments can be very effective and the best option depends on your anatomy, goals, and whether you're looking for a temporary or long-term solution. I hope this helps and best of luck!
