Nicotine 9 months post fat graft

I am not sure that our plastic surgery literature has covered that topic; it would be very difficult to evaluate even with the best research protocol. However, we do know that nicotine has damaging effect on microcirculation and neovascularization, both important components of tissue graft (fat included) take/survival. Hope this helps.
