It is best to contact your surgeon for post surgery issues and care since all doctors have slightly different instructions.

I recommend you wait at least a week before you apply anything to the donor area.  What you can do is wash that area if the itching continues using baby shampoo.  After it dries you can apply a small amount of bacitracin ointment which should help with the itching as well.

I would hold off using aloe vera gel for one week after all of the crusts (scabs) are gone from your recipient area
