If you have low density (many Asians) with a high contrast (black hair on fair skin) and short hair style a 2000 FUE grafts may look depleted.
Asian hair normally has a lower density in the donor area than Caucasion hair, so 2000 grafts need to carefully spaced out to avoid over-harvesting. Make sure you have an evaluation with a physician who has experience with Asian hair to prevent over-harvesting.
This is a very good question in that any light colored scars will contrast greatly with dark hair. The good news is that over 50% of the donor hairs can be safely removed from your scalp without it becoming noticeable, as long as the extraction is performed by a skilled technician. I have seen many patients (regardless of ethnicity) who had FUE perfromed elsewhere with clear bald patches because the technician was experienced or careful enough. We pride ourselves on never over-extracting our patients. Consult with an experienced, board certified surgeon.
It depends on where and how the grafts are excised. Look at good quality before and after photos when you know the number of grafts taken & from which areas of the scalp.
This is entirely dependent on your donor area density. For many, this number is not a problem. For others, it can be noticeable. You are not going to find the answer over the internet and thus an in-person consultation with an experienced hair transplantation surgeon is necessary. Good luck to you.
