Otoplasty recovery, substantial amount of swelling on left ear. Is this normal? (Photo)

I got otoplasty done 9 days ago, and the antihelix is really swollen, more so than the helix, so I'm not able to see the helix behind the ear. I feel I might have hematoma on the left ear, am I right?

Otoplasty can be done at any age (after 5 years old), as long as you do not have any medical contraindications.

There doesn't appear to be any infection but that can be hard to definitively diagnose with photos. Not sure what could have caused thinning of the tissue behind your ear. Many otoplasty surgeons will thin tissue on the back of the bowl of the ear to allow it to set back properly but very few...
