I really hate my ears. Is there anything I can do?

Hello, I know I post a lot on here (and much can't be done because mom doesn't approve *cries*) but I really hate my ears. I find they stick out too much. THO it isn't seem much because my ears are very tiny I wish they were more pin down and flat/closer to my head. Know what I sm saying? Can anything be done? Or is there anything at all?

Based on the photos you posted, I think your ears appear fairly normal and would not recommend any surgery for you.

First, your ear shape is absolutely fine.  There is nothing at all anatomically wrong with your ears.  Do not have surgery on them.  Your mother is right, in this instance.

There is a way to get your ears closer to your head. It takes surgery. However I will not say that you have abnormal ears at this time. If that is what you want just do it. Do not cry. Crying accomplishes nothing.

Your ears are completely normal. The "goal" photo you show demonstrates an helical fold that is overly pinned back. To be completely honest, if that were a surgical result that I had created I would be very unhappy with it. Your ears are perfectly normal and creating the look that you propose would not be an improvement in any way and might actually be a distraction from the rest of your facial features. We can choose to focus on many things. You should not spend any time worrying about your ears. I know ... this is easier said than done but your ears are completely normal. For ears that stick out or protrude from the face, otoplasty can be a great option.The surgeon will pin back and sometimes reshape the ear. In children, it is usually performed around age 5 to 6, but adults can also have it.Samantha, it is hard for me to tell from the pictures, but it does not look like your ears are protruding excessively. I suggest you see a surgeon in your community to get an opinion after being evaluated in person.Hope this helps!
