I had septo-rhinoplasty 6 days ago&my splinters were removed today. I feel my nose has gone more bent! Is it too soon to worry?

I am 18 with unilateral cleft palate. And my cleft side is the left side so i feel my entire nose is bent on the left side! Before it did droop and that has been improved by i feel like the entire nose has just been made bent and is noticeably all to the left side. Please advise me I cannot stop crying. But by evening time today i have got used to it however realistically is this how it will more or less look forever?

I'm really sorry you're going through this — it’s absolutely okay to feel overwhelmed and emotional, especially after a change that affects how you look and feel. Your nose is central to your face, your self-image, and your confidence.

You're still only 18, and:

Swelling, scar maturation, and tissue settling after nasal surgery or manipulation can take 6–12 months to fully stabilize — especially in cleft rhinoplasty cases.

Since you had this a recent adjustment , your current appearance might not be the final result.

There are specialized techniques in cleft rhinoplasty that address nasal deviation, tip asymmetry, and nostril shape — so there are options if you're not happy with how it settles.  But we still suggest to wait atleast for the surgery to complete its first  6-12 months.
