Hi there, I had 1ml of Revolax in my lips last night. My lips are very swollen (which I know happens and I’m not concerned of that) but I have a HUGE bruise/bleed that seems to cover most of my bottom lip, underneath the lip and inside it. Is this normal? I never had this the last time and I’m worried something is wrong as it’s so large.

Answer: Bruising after Lip fillers This amount of bruising can occur after lip filler, it's not common but just happens occasionally. The issue of concern is ensuring that there isn't any damage to the blood flow to the area. IF you think that an area is paler than it should be or doesn't seem to have blood returning to it when pressed you should contact your Doctor immediately. Hope this all works out for you

Answer: Better safe than sorrow Dear UKgirl256, usually lip filler causes swelling as you mentioned but this black colouration might indicate vascular occlusion, which means that some of the filler were injected accidentally in the vessel, my advice is to go back (quickly) to your physician as the photos are not very clear, he will be able to check it further and act accordingly, if he feels its necrosis, he will inject you with Hayalase which dissolves the HA that is the component of the filler you had and also give you some other medicine like aspirin 300mg, nitroglycerine ointment etc.. Iam sure he will have the best knowledge handle it. if this happens it usually resolves and go back to normal if it caught early but it will take couple of weeks to do so. I hope this helps
