I have a low TSH but normal T3 and 4. I'm scheduled for a lipo 360. Does this mean I can't proceed with the surgery?

Not necessarily. Your surgeon and anesthesiologist will need to review your labs and determine if it's safe to proceed. It's best to do this earlier than later. As always, be sure to research who does your procedure to increase your chances of having a good outcome.

A low TSH with normal T4 and T3 levels is consistent with subclinical hyperthyroidism. Discuss your lab results with the PCP or board certified PS who ordered them to determine if you can obtain clearance to have lipo 360. Your health history and BMI will also be reviewed to determine if you are a good candidate for lipo 360.

You should bring up your medical history including your lab tests at the time of the consultation.

Having a low stimulating hormone level may be totally normal and appropriate if your thyroid gland is producing appropriate levels of thyroxine.
