I’d really love to have a 360 lipo and BBl. I’m 34 and in 2017 was sick with Pneumonia in which they did find a blood clot. I have been seeing a hematologist who has done all kinds of bloodwork and cannot find a cause as to why I developed a blood clot. I have called around to the best of the best surgeons and all of their care coordinators says no. However I have seen on here people who have had surgeries done who has also had blood clots in the past as well. I am on blood thinners

Answer: BBL after blood clot Providing that you are not on blood thinners now, you can consider BBL surgery. However, every surgery in general anesthesia carries increased risk for new blood clot and for that reason, you will need postoperative chemoprophylaxis, usually by means of lovenox, for some period of time. Unfortunately, risk of thromboembolism runs up to 3 months after surgery and there is a question whether you need chemoprophylaxis for all that time. This is something that can be coordinated between your board certified plastic surgeon and hematologist. Good luck.

Answer: Liposuction candidate Dear chatchat86, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, it is possible to get a liposcution after an episode of blood clots. You will need to get a clearance from your hematologist. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
