My neck did not have excess skin before the surgery . When the middle area was brought in the sides have rippled and look like they bulge . It looks worse as time goes on.I .have consulted with my surgeon who recommends not doing a revision , he recommend the neck be done I trusted his good judgement . I am upset at the amount of money spent We had several consultations we communicated well .My expectations were realistic . Dr is qualified and has integrity . refunded the price of the neck lift procedure
Answer: Bunching of jaw line after a lifting procedure You may need a minor revision procedure to change the direction of the lines along your jaw line. It looks like that the skin directions may need to be changed to a less horizontal sweeping motion. This can be done by using the previous incisions and redraping the skin so that it sits differently along your jaw line and lower face region. Also, some additional fat augmentation to the jowl region might help as well. You may need to consult with your surgeon again or seek a board certified facial plastic surgeon in your area.

Answer: Unhappy with Neck Lift? Botox & Chemical Peels I recommend following up with your surgeon about your concerns. Try Botox to soften your platysmal bands and chemical peels to improve the quality of your skin and, one hopes, restore a bit of elasticity. I hope this helps.

Answer: Wrinkly skin with flexion after facelift or neck lift It seems that you're unhappy with your scars from your previous surgery. To answer your question, usually a facelift is judged at a neutral level position, not bending and inflection are different ways. Yes, everyone wants to look great from every angle and every position but this is sometimes not realistic. To get further improvement, you'd have to extend scars out into the other areas. Scar revision is an excellent option to improve this as long as you're willing to have more scars extending out to the areas that offend you or bother you. Of course, there are other options that do not involve surgery and these can give varying degrees of improvement. Please remember that even young people get wrinkles and creases when they bend or turn in certain directions or flex. The difference is that they have younger skin. Older skin does not cover up as well and looks especially old when it is flexed or turned.I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of facelifts if you want a second opinion and of course, make sure you follow up with your own surgeon and talk about this. I hope this helps and wish you all the best in your surgery and event. If it does, please take a moment to up vote this answer on the “respond” button on the top right.

Answer: Face Lift Does Not Produce Tightening of the Skin - Think Now About Skin TIghtening Procedures Thank you for your question because it is a VERY GOOD ONE that I hear and educate patients on almost a daily basis.I feel I need to step in and defend your surgoen. After reviewing your pictures, every one of them has you putting your head in an awkward position including your chin looking down, not horizontal. We as surgeons judge our results with standardized photography in which the patient's head position is in the Horizontal Frankfort LIne (goole it!), which is your head postioned pre- and post- operatively for pictures in which an imaginary line is drawn from the tragus (the little cartilatinous bump in front of your ear canal) and the orital rim you can palpate under your lower lid. ALL surgeons judge ALL results objectively from this internationally accepted head position. Everyone of your pictures are not taken with this head position. Before and after pictures should should always be in this position for a facelift. The pictures you have provided are unfair to you AND your surgeon. You need to compare them in the horizontal Frankfort plane. Only then can you and he be objective regarding your results. Feel free to post those pictures to allow any of the surgeons in RS to review and comment on them.Just so you know, a facelift will NEVER tighten skin to provide better texture of the neck or cheek skin. It is performed to correct your jawline and neckline. Any textural changes seen preoperatively will most commonly persist postoperatively. It is at that point that skin tightening procedures will improve your skin texture. My preference is radio-frequency skin tightening. The recent intoroduction of Profound, which has a 97% approval rating on RealSelf by patients that have had it is my personal preference. The advantage of this machine over any other that is currently available is that it gives real time feedback to the generators providing the radio-frequency to the skin to assure that 3 seconds at 67 degrees Celsius is achieved. These two parameters when met have been to show both histologically as well as clinically to create actual skin tightening. Currently, this is the only machine with the technology to assure those two parameters are met when performed, and is why the results are much more predictable.I hope this helps!
