I recently underwent a BA and I am very unhappy with the size. I started off a flat A and got 325&350cc Natrelle style 20's. Under clothes I look completely flat still. It's so bad that I feel embarrassed to take off my shirt in front of my husband bc I don't feel sexy. My PS suggested 400cc, 460cc & 500cc UHP. I don't want to be disappointed again but not looking to be ridiculously big. Stats: 26.5" ribcage 5'7 117lbs wide shoulders, curvy hips
Answer: How many more cc's do I need to get a full 32D? Best thing to do is communicate with your surgeon. I ask my patients to bring in pictures of breast sizes that they like and even dislike. I review these photos with the patient and discuss if it is reasonable with their body type, size,etc.. I take these photos to the operating room with me and when the patients is on the operating room table, I use temporary sizers to view how different cc's look on the patient. I sit the patient up on the operating room several times and compare them with the photos that they have chosen. When I see that I have achieved the patient's goals, I remove the temporary sizers and put in the implants. There is no guess work. I have all sizes from both manufactorers available to me at all times. This procedure takes more time BUT gives more exact results.

Answer: No Size Guarantee With a Breast Revision Breast revision surgery is more difficult, complicated, and requires more time than primary surgery. There is as much as a 40% chance additional surgery will be needed following the #revision. As far as sizing, there are no promise or guarantee of the specific cup/bra #size and shape you will be after your surgery. Implants which are under the muscle or are placed in a new position under the muscle may change with shape on muscle contracture and may have “#banding” and motion of the implants with muscle contracture. If this is unsatisfactory, it may require additional surgery which will also require additional surgeon’s fees, operating room and anesthetic fees.

Answer: When upsizing you have to be as certain as you can that it will achieve the desired result you want. Profiles such as UHP will depend on your footprint of your breast and what you are trying to achieve. UHP have more potential for problems down the road due to the physics of the implants. On the other hand, you live only once so go for what will make you happy with the understanding that changes occur over time that will necessitate more procedures. If you have a 400 cc sizer over your current results, you're going to need an implant closer to 750 cc's. Make sure your lines of communication are open, you know what the revision policy is, and your surgeon can truly deliver what you are desiring before jumping back in.

Answer: How many more cc's do I need to get a full 32D? I agree with what has been written by others. So here is something else to think about. First: 450cc is essentially a pound of weight you are adding to each half of your chest wall. Second: The chest wall and the abdomen are on continuous vertical flat plane. Third: Gravity works and over time the weight can pull the implants down, look up " bottoming out". Fourth: If you exercise, run, jog, aerobics etc you will have an added factor helping the gravitational affect on your implants, with constant bouncing of your breasts. Fifth: If you sleep without a bra and sleep on your side. What is stopping the implants from slowly migrating to the side of your chest wall. Sixth: The more time a breast augmentation is operated on the more the risk of problems increases.Your present augmentation looks great, I would suggest you take your time and be patient, live with them I think you will be surprised. I Hope this other perspective helpsGood LuckStephen M. Davis, MD, FACSGreen Hills Plastic Surgery

Answer: Choosing Implant Size There is not a direct correlation between breast implant size and cup size as the cup size varies greatly among companies and even within the same company. Moreover, cup size can vary based on who is performing the measurement. The size of the implants are based on a combination of a patient's goals and objectives and her anatomy. In order to provide a natural looking augmentation, the surgeon needs to evaluate many factors including soft tissue coverage, skin laxity, chest wall width, breast imprint width, the shape of the breasts and relative level of constriction to ensure that the breast implants are appropriate for your body.
