Sun exposure after 13 days Hair Transplant FUE. Any suggestions? (photos)

Question

Unfortunately 13 days after my 4000 FUE hair transplant i went out in the sun around like 2 minutes and the sun is very hot. After that exposure i was felt like burning on the recipient area and numbness. I was not having these sensation's before sun exposure. It is my 14th day after FUE and am still having the numbness in my recipient area. I am scared that did i damaged my nerves so it is causing numbness. Please help me.

If you caused damage it is too late to think about it.  Try not to do it again. Hardly doubt 2 minutes in the sun can do too much damage.  Numbness has nothing to do with the sun.

Hello,Sun exposure should be avoided for first 12 weeks.  UV light can damage hair.  More specifically, hair protein degradation occurs at wavelengths of 254nm-400nm, while UVB is responsible for hair protein loss while UVA is responsible for color changes.  On newly transplanted hair, the hair can be damaged by free radicals and photochemical degradation.

It is important  to avoid prolonged sun exposure while the grafts are healing.  2 minutes is not sufficient to cause any issues.  The concern with excessive sun exposure is it causing skin discoloration.

It is very important to avoid the sun after hair transplant surgery, but a few minutes of exposure 2 weeks after surgery is not likely to cause any harm.

You are correct that one needs to limit sun exposure post op. However 2 min exposure at day 13 is unlikely to cause harm.

At two Meeks time you can return to your normal activity if you are healed completely. Therefore sun exposure should not be a problem ,

This is not a problem so don't worry. What we caution against is prolonged sun exposure and 2 minutes in the sun does not quite get there.
