I've met with 3 board certified plastic surgeons. The first 2 never mentioned a lift, but the last told me that I wouldn't have a nice result without a lift because I have a naturally low crease. He marked on my areola where he would move my nipple, which was about 1cm. Like many women, I really would like to avoid the additional surgery time, costs and scaring if this isn't the case. Would my low crease cause a poor result without a lift? Thanks for your time! Stats: I'm 31, 5'4", 120 lbs with 3 kids

Answer: Breast Augmentation Without a Lift In my opinion a lift would be a really bad idea in you. I would recommend placement of an anatomically shaped implant such as an Allergan 410 that will help to autorotate the inferior pole and move the appearance of your nipple up without scars. I would suggest a transaxillary approach and subfascial placement for the best and most natural appearing result. I hope this helps! All the best,Rian A. Maercks M.D.

Answer: Aesthetic outcome after breast augmentation in a patient with a tall chest. The photograph demonstrates a tall anterior chest with a sizable gap between the top of the breast and the clavicle. Breast augmentation will make your breast larger but will not alter the base of the breast relative to position on the chest wall. Whether or not this is aesthetically problem is subjective. Most women in your situation are pleased with the results of the breast augmentation.
