I’m going through dental treatment wherein my 4 teeth spaces ( rightmost corner) are covered wih zirconia crown. Out of the four teeth one was already missing so 3 plus 1 missing space is covered with ziconia cap . My problem is that I had no cold sensation with temporary acrylic cap put on for 15 days but started having sensitivity after putting zirconia cap. Why so.... . Had been using sensodyne n mouthwash as per my dentist.

Some dentists feel that it is better to have a permanent crown before treatment ,because less chance of recurring decay, fracture of temporary crown, and less inflammation of tissue.
Other dentists feel better to place temporary crown, that has the proper shape and size and that is...
I would suggest seeing a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Today there are many oral surgeons who also have MD degrees as well as a DDS or DMD. I think this sort of specialist would be able to treat you best.
In order to have a new crown fabricated, the old crown would have to be removed and you would need a new scan or impression to have a new crown made. I don't think medicaid will cover a new crown for cosmetic purposes so expect to pay for it completely out of pocket.
