I have an appointment in a couple days for a different procedure, if they cannot see me earlier than the appointment (little less than 3 days). I fear putting toothpaste under the crown and pushing it in won't work and I'll end up swallowing it overnight or something, does that happen?
Answer: Temporary crown has fallen out Hi:It’s best to leave the temporary out, not chew on that side and keep the area clean until you see your dentist.Best,Dr. Maddahi

Answer: Temp crown You can purchase temporary cement at a pharmacy (Walgreens, CVS, etc). It's the same temporary cement used in the dental office. People do swallow their temporary crowns sometimes, but it usually doesn't cause any problems and will pass. What you really don't want is to inhale it. So if you aren't having any sensitivity on the tooth without the temp crown in, you can leave it out overnight if you're really worried about it.

Answer: Temporary crown fell off Hello and thank you for your question. The best way to answer this is with an in-person evaluation. From your description, just try to eat on the opposite side and keep the side of the temporary crown clean. I recommend following up with your Dentist as soon as possible or consulting a Prosthodontist. A Prosthodontist is a dental specialist who has advanced training in restoring and replacing teeth and can create a customized treatment using the latest techniques in dental crowns.
