When crown lengthening only involves soft tissue it should be coded as a gingivectomy or gingivoplasty, correct?

Some procedures can be coded in more way than one.  Google search for the codes, they aren't secret.  D4210 Gingivectomy or gingivoplasty - four or more contiguous teeth or tooth bounded spaces per quadrantD4211 Gingivectomy or gingivoplasty - one to three contiguous teeth or tooth bounded spaces per quadrantD4212 Gingivectomy or gingivoplasty to allow access for restorative procedure, per toothD4230 Anatomical crown exposure - four or more contiguous teeth per quadrantD4231 Anatomical crown exposure - one to three teeth per quadrant D4249 Clinical crown lengthening - hard tissueD4260 Osseous surgery (including elevation of a full thickness flap and closure) - four or more contiguousteeth or tooth bounded spaces per quadrantD4261 Osseous surgery (including elevation of a full thickness flap and closure) - one to three contiguousteeth or tooth bounded spaces per quadrant 

Hi:Gingivoplasty would be a better code, however both codes should work in this instance.  Best,Dr. Maddahi
