I am approaching 4 months post op. I believe my surgeon made my nasal tip too small, and I also have thin skin. So I have a perfect oval shape on the tip of my nose that has been there since cast removal day. It has not gotten any better, and I am sure its not "just swelling" How can this be corrected? How difficult is it to fix, and what are the risks? If I have very thin skin will I always have this issue? I feel like there is no hope for my situation. Have any of you seen this issue before?

Hello! While you may be more swollen temporarily, all swelling is temporary after rhinoplasty. Having surgery on your menstrual cycle will not impact the final result. Good luck!
Yes, the nasal tip drops after rhinoplasty. I think your tip will go down with some more time. However, your nose may have been overly shortened. I would discuss your concerns with your surgeon.
Yes, you may certainly continue with your regular oral care routine post rhinoplasty. I would however recommend that you use a mild cleanser as you may be tender from the intubation.Hope this helps.Dr. Philip Solomon - Solomon Facial Plastic - Toronto, Canada
