Question

I've had a consultation before, the dr provided a picture of possible outcome of my nose after surgery, but was only able to remove hump, in a minor way. My nose is crooked due to opening a car door on my nose. It is not aligned straight, I have problems breathing through my nose. The dr said I have allergies & another dr said my sinus is collapsed. Who would be the best to align my nose, reduce the size & fix my breathing problems ?

I made a computer morph of your nose, and an animation of the morph, to show the changes that are possible for your nose in truly expert hands.You'll see, especially in the animation, That I reduced the bump up high, where it starts, below your eyebrows and in front of your eyes. If that area isn't lowered, then after surgery your profile might start to look like a Roman statues, where the forehead slides right down onto the nose, like this:
FacialSurgery.com/RealSelf/RomanStatue.jpgThen, I elevated the tip, because when you take down a bump, it can make the nose *look* longer, so elevating the tip is a good idea. And finally, I brought the entire nose back closer to your face.
You should understand that the changes I demonstrated in the morph require advanced techniques, techniques that most plastic surgeons cannot handle.  Be sure to read the section in the "Learn more" link on how to stay out of trouble while searching for a rhinoplasty surgeon. You should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. Read that page very carefully. Most plastic surgeons are quite poor at this operation, and I believe my advice will go a long way toward keeping you safe.
I'd love to hear what you think of the morph. Did it seem to address your main concerns?
Your nose is also a good example of why computer imaging is mandatory in rhinoplasty. You need to know exactly what the surgeon is planning to accomplish -- what features he thinks he can change, and by how much he thinks he can change them. When you see his goals, you'll know whether he has an eye for an attractive nose, and whether he shares your opinion of what constitutes an attractive nose. You'll also know whether the changes he proposes are enough to be meaningful to you, and whether he understands your wishes enough to address all of your priorities. But remember, you're not hiring him for his skills with the computer. The doctor must then show you his before and after photos to prove that he can actually accomplish what he draws on the computer.
In your case in particular, you need to find a surgeon who understands all of the issues I mentioned, and how they fit together, and who can actually accomplish them in surgery.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your
photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty.  You may also benefit from a dorsal hump
reduction.  It is very important that you thoroughly research
your surgeon before committing to surgery. It is a good idea to research your
surgeon's educational background, online reviews, before & after pictures,
and speak with anyone who you may know who has had surgery with that surgeon.
During your consultation, make sure that you don't feel rushed and make sure
that you have adequate time with your surgeon and not just their patient
coordinator or nurses. If the majority of your consultation is spent with
someone other than the surgeon, this is usually not a good sign. The most
important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend
that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified expert surgeon who
can evaluate you in person.

Best to seek out a double board-certified ENT/ facial plastic surgeon who can address both functional and cosmetic issues with your nose. Digital computer imaging performed in the office can also be helpful to understand what a rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish  with your nose upon your facial features. Allergies are treated medically, while a CAT scan is required to evaluate sinus issues.  A closed Rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish removal of the dorsal hump and straightening the bridge line, with all the incisions placed on the inside of the nose.
