Dear Dr’s, I want to fix the downward slant to outer corners of my eyes giving a sad look. Upper lids've started 2 feel heavy. Pls advise what wud b good procedure(s) to get lifted/brighter/fresh/rejuvenated eyes n rmv the heaviness. In late 20s Been to 3 consultations, the advice was: a)canthal surgery, b)mid-face lift c)blepharoplasty and a brow-lift to open up the eyes, but I think it might make them look deeper set. So I am not convinced. Your guidance n sugg's wud b greatly appciatd. TNX

Answer: Fillers Obviously, you have a variety of options and opinions as to the best way to address your issues. I think the easiest and most conservative place to start would be with fillers under the eye. This would help to rejuvenate the entire look of your eye while also pushing up the outside corner. If it's not enough, you could then proceed to surgical options, but filler could be the easiest solution. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram

Answer: Lower lid sag First of all your brow height and upper lids look completely normal. You do have some droop of the lateral lower lid with some hollowing below that. Depending on the laxity of the lower lid, a surgery to tighten might improve this. Another easier option would be to put some HA filler into the lateral lower lid. This would fill the hollow and should help to push up the lower lid margin. You should see an oculoplastic surgeon who does lower lid fillers as they can evaluate the eyelid muscles and determine what your options are. There are several excellent surgeons in your area for this.

Answer: Sad eye treatment Wow.eyes, it looks like you have downward slant of the eyes because the lateral canthal ligament is loose. I agree that the best treatment would be a lateral canthal repositioning, possibly with a tightening of the lower eyelid as well. Midface lifting is too indirect to help and a browlift doesn't address your concerns. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Answer: What can I do to change the angle of my eyes? The downward angle of your eye shape is determined by the anchor point of the eyelids to the orbital bone called the lateral cantonal tendon. Elevating this anchor point will address and improve this angle. This can be done with a "minimally invasive" technique and can make a big change in the overall appearance of your eyes.
