I was just wondering why I can't wear a little eyeliner a day or 2 after my non-incisional double eyelid surgery? I can understand not putting makeup on where the suture is, but why is it a problem if the eyeliner is not at all close to touching the suture? Also, is it possible to keep a few lash extensions on before my non-incisional surgery?

Answer: Non-incisional is a bit of a misnomer. For DST technique, small stab incisions are make on the front and back of the eyelid to allow for passage of the suture used to make the crease. These are closed with absorbable sutures. Your makeup is not sterile. We want to keep bacterially contaminated makeup away from the healing skin. That is why you have been asked not to apply makeup-get it?
