I have a CC and I have been recommended to see double board certified plastic surgeons for consultations but how do I know which ones are double board decertified and what does double board certified mean

Answer: Board Certification You can go to the American Board of Medical Specialties (AMBS.org) to check a surgeon's board certifications. For your problem of capsular contracture you should be looking for someone certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Separately, look for a designation of FACS (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons) which is awarded to surgeons with top training and credentials and significant experience in their field of surgery. Answer: Board certification What is important is that your plastic surgeon inboard certified by the American board of plastic surgery. He can have multiple other board certifications but the only important one that applies to what you are looking for is the ABPS.
