Correction of lower eyelid retraction, what are my options? (Photo)

Hello, thank you very much to take time to answer to my question. I'm 35y old, had bleph. 1y ago since then my My eyes are very dry, very uncomfortable and retracted. What your would suggest to fix it? Is it a very complicate fix? Kind regards

Best to see an oculoplastic specialist for in person evaluation. Eyelid revision surgery (namely eyelid retraction surgery after lower blepharoplasty) is definitely possible. See links on my website for more details.

Hi Carla.Louise, Thanks for your question and photos. I'm sorry to hear you've been struggling since your lower lid blepharoplasty. Unfortunately, we see this not uncommonly after transcutaneous lower lid blepharoplasty with skin excision. Typically, the lower lid retraction is due to a deficiency of skin in the lower lid and would require a skin graft with lower eyelid tightening to adequately correct the problem. I would recommend an in-person evaluation with a skilled oculoplastic surgeon in your area. Good luck!
