I have lost a substantial amount of weight. I have 30 or 40 lbs until I reach my goal weight. I plan on getting a breast lift first, then lipo, tummy tuck, and bbl. I want to get the latter when I'm abt 10 to 15 lbs away from my goal weight, so I can have enough fat. But I need time btwn surgeries. If I get a breast lift then lose 30 to 40 lbs will I mess up the lift? Will my breasts look saggy again? Should I get my breasts done 1st or after the other procedures?

Answer: Reach ideal weight first It’s difficult to predict how weight loss will affect the results from a breast lift, or any body contouring procedure for that matter. However, since it is a significant amount of weight, it would be prudent to wait until you’ve reached your ideal weight before you proceed with surgery.

Answer: Should I wait to get my breasts done until after I reach my goal weight? Will losing 30 lbs mess up a breast lift? If you plan to lose more weight, you should do that before the surgery and get within ten pounds of your ideal weight. That will enable you to get the most optimal cosmetic result and decrease the possibility of you wanting additional surgery in the future because of potential anatomical changes from weight loss. Keep in mind that following advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do without examining you, physically feeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history and discussing the pros and cons of each operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest that you find a surgeon certified by the American Board of American Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, M.D., FACS La Jolla, California
