The corners of my mouth on my side profile are turned down, and its really annoying. Is there anyway to make them turn up with or without surgery?
Answer: Botox into the DAO muscle Hi @Tyler 9997. I recommend getting a few units of Botox into the DAO muscle. The injections stop the DAO muscle pulling down the corners of the mouth. Treatment will cause the corners of the mouth to be slightly lifted, giving the mouth a more relaxed, happy, youthful and pleasing appearance. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Restylane or belotero can really turn up the corners of the mouth nicely. Turning up the corners of the mouth is easy and quick with a little restylane or belotero filler. It just takes a couple of minutes and is almost painless.

Answer: Volumizing Fillers Combined With Botox Work Well For Straightening Marionette Lines (Downturned Mouth Angles) I have personally been treating the marionette lines (aka "sad" lines, downturned angles of the mouth) since the early 1980s with the original Zyplast collagen fillers. We have fortunately come along way since those days when we simply "chased" after lines and folds, like the marionette lines, by simply filling them up with whatever filler du jour was available at the time.Nowadays, owing to our far more sophisticated understanding of the aging process in the face, particularly to the effects of bone, muscle, and fat loss, we attempt rather to re-contour, reshape and rejuvenate the face by restoring volume to areas that have lost it with the passage of time. It may seem counterintuitive, but the marionette lines result in the main from facial volume loss within the cheeks above. This means that restoring the volume to the cheeks with a volumizing filler, such as Voluma XC or Radiesse Plus, can result in significant uplift and improvement in the marionette lines--without even directly injecting them. To understand this better, you may wish to search the archives of RealSelf. com for The Nonsurgical 3D Vectoring Facelift. What is important is that you seek consultation with a board certified aesthetic physician with experience in the many nonsurgical methods for facial rejuvenation using volumizing fillers. Make sure to ask to see his/her before and after photos before proceeding.

Answer: Lip fillers I appreciate your concern, so I would recommend conservative treatment with Hyaluronic Acid, like Juvederm plus. Placed properly near the corners of your mouth, it can turn that frown upside down! Another option is fat transfer which is more permanent. Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon in your area, Good Luck!
