Dent in fat tissue on my bum (Photo)

Question

Hi, I got this dent or unevenness during sports more than ten years ago, from a fall on to a sharp edge. It kind of creates a shadow and I can also feel it when I touch the erea.It has been bothering me the whole time, since it’s showing in all kinds of bikinies. What would be the best and easiest way to fix this?

Many thanks for your question. A dent like you describe can be improved using your own fat taken from another area. This is called fat transfer. At the same time any underlying scar tissue can be released. Seek assessment in person with a fully accredited plastic surgeon with expertise in this area.

The best way, and in fact the gold-standard,to fix this is fatgrafting. It is your own tissue so it is totally compatible with your body and has a very low complication rate. It works especially well on the buttocks.Bear in mind fatgrafting is not a filler. It is not that we could use fat like uses brick layer mortar. It is a transplantation process of millions of cells and although success rates are excellent ,there is a residual element of eventuality and variance from case to case. In other words we know take will be good but how good exactly you see some weeks after the procedure. In a dent , which is usually caused by scar tissue there is a certain chance that you have to repeat the grafting.It is definitely the best option though.Hope that helps

Based on your photos, you are a good candidate for fat transfer to fix your problem, and I think you'll get very good results.
