Bump on nose „grows“ 2 years post rhinoplasty. My doctor gave me 2 appointments for steroid shots. The first one seemed to work (Last year) and i was Pretty happy with the results, but the bump grew back. The Second appointment did nothing for that bump. It was two month ago.
Answer: Loss of tip support. Based on your photos, I suspect that steroid injections could do more harm than good. I suspect that while you healed, after your rhinoplasty, your tip has dropped, and this may be contributing to the bump that you are seeing. This may also be associated with a hanging columella and nostril show. Please consider getting a second opinion from another reputable rhinoplasty specialist. I hope this is helpful. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Answer: Supra– tip fullness after rhinoplasty Thank you for your question and sharing your photographs. One of the possible explanations for the contour of your nose is loss of some of the support for the nasal tip and with it loss of some projection. This can lead to a perceived supratip excess. If when pulling the upper lip down you notice increased visibility of the prominence above the nasal tip, it would favour the diagnosis of insufficient nasal tip support. If when you are pulling the upper lip down you notice that the fullness stays the same, it is more likely related to the characteristics of the skin. Both situations can potentially benefit from increasing the tip support and projection as long as you feel comfortable with this change in the nasal shape. If you are not sure about it, you can explore the possibility of changing the contours in a computer simulation. If the fullness in the supra-tip does not respond to steroid injections, it is possible to use injectable fillers in the tip to create a straight contour on profile and three-quarter view. Further reduction of the cartilage above the nasal tip is also a possibility but if the tip support is insufficient it can drop further and the problem is not solved. My impression is that if you decide in favour of surgery you should consider having increased support for the nasal tip to assist with control of the profile shape, and most likely also increase tip projection.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Your bridge just above the tip needs to be lowered a little. Your problem is not uncommon and easy to fix but does require surgery
