Why does one of my eyes look smaller than the other one in photos? (Photo)

Question

When i take photos one of my eyes look smaller than the other one , what could have caused it? And what can i do to fix it? Its really bothering me, and it also shows when i take a photo with my iPhone front camera and it flips the image, is this how other people really see me?

Thank you for the question. Although difficult to see from you photos, it appears that you have mild ptosis (drooping lid). This can result from excessive contact lens use or rubbing of the eyelid as well as other causes. It looks too mild for surgery, but should be evaluated by an oculoplastic surgeon in person. From the limited view on the photos, it looks like one of your upper eyelids is a bit lower than the other (a condition called "ptosis"), resulting in a very small amount of facial asymmetry. We all have some degree of facial asymmetry and this is normal. In your case, it is very minimal.If you wish to have further evaluation and to hear your treatment options, I would recommend seeing an oculoplastic surgeon.
