Yes, your fat can be transferred to your breast. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach TrainedDouble Board-Certified Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon
Fat transfer breast augmentation can be done at the same time as your breast lift/mastopexy procedure.
Dear Maddie95,yes, you can combine breast lift and fat transfer. And no, you can't harvest fat one month before transfer. Fat viability depends a lot of surgeon technique. The fat has to be placed back into the breasts as soon as possible so that it has a greater chance of survival.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. The combination of the lift and fat work well. The main question is the desired size and how much you have to be harvested. Please see the link for the examples.
can certainly be done at the same time but I am not a fan of the Benelli lift due to the palpable ring from the buried suture used in cinching the skin around the smaller areola size, poor scarring, and flattened projection. For minimal problems, it can be helpful but in the vast majority of patients, it produces horrible outcomes.
Yes, a breast lift and fat transfer can be done at the same time. I personally do not like the doughnut lift in my practice because it has a high incidence of nipple areola complex spread and scar widening. Adding fat to your breasts at the time of this type of lift can lead to more tension on the closure and even more increased risk of the above.
Thank you for your photo. Yes it is possible to do a doughnut lift and a fat transfer done on the same surgery. It is better to do the fat transfer at the time of your lift or to wait 6 months after your lift so the fat is not being injected into an area of inflammation or healing. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Thank you for your question and photos and the simple answer is YES but I would go on complimentary consultations with experts and be evaluated in person and compare recommendations and look at photos of similar patients and become fully informed about the desired procedures.Dr. Corbin
