I've read that fat transfer to the breast cannot increase more than one cup size. Would it be possible to go up more than one cup size if you were to do fat transfer more than once? I'm considering fat transfer to the breast but I do want a decent increase as I'm barely an A cup. Thanks in advance!
Answer: Cup size increase with fat transfer In general, 200 cc per breast is typically the upper limit of fat injection recommended by most plastic surgeons. It is not that more cannot be injected; but on average, this has been determined to be the most that can be expected to live during one transfer. The fat must be injected through multiple planes in small amounts to the tissue through one tiny incision under each breast.

Answer: Fat grafting and cup size Fat grafting is an excellent way to improve breast size for patients who do not want implants. Key factors for success include the presence of enough fat to achieve the desired result, smoking, plans for weight gain or loss etc. Changing 1 to 1/2 cup sizes is a realistic expectation. Remember the fat is a living tissue when transferred, and it must come in contact with other living tissue to survive. If too much is placed in a single session, the fat is simply lost and can even create lumpiness or oily fluid collections. It does provide a very natural soft breast, and of course there is the added benefit of liposuction in areas of concern as well.

This process can be repeated at six months for further enlargement should the patient desire. There are limits to fat grafting involving the skin envelope tightness or looseness. I find most patients willing to undergo fat transfer are willing to accept a smaller breast size because of their concerns about silicone implants. With weight fluctuations, the breast size can change as well. If you're looking for a two cup enlargement it may be more economical to go with an implant.

Thank you for your excellent and interesting question.The clinical indications for great fat transfer is for primary augmentation instead of a saline or silastic gel implant, repair breast asymmetries note naturally, after breast implant, breast lift, or breast reduction surgery and for breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery, most commonly done with stem cells adjunctively.In thin patients with only mild amount of breast glandular tissue and breast fatty tissue (A cup) or smaller, breast fat transfer can yield up to or greater than one cup size. Also, the liposuction to harvest the fat also makes the breasts themselves look larger by abdomen, upper back, axillary, and anterior axillary fold (between arm/shoulder and the chest) fat removal.Fat can be stored at a fat cel and stem cell tissue bank, such as American Cryostem. After 2 months, the end breast volume is noted, fat can be thawed, FedEx to the surgeon and more administered the next day.Most fat is placed between the skin and the glandular breast tissue (about 150-200 cc per side), into the pectoralis major chest muscle (about 75-100 cc per side), and even below the muscle or sub pectoral (100 cc).There is a high patient satisfaction rate from the natural breast augmentation procedure.
