It would be helpful to have several photos of your nose and face together to make sure you're a candidate for the procedure. Based on this one very limited photograph, your nostrils do appear excessively wide. An Alarplasty. accomplishes narrowing the base of the nostrils by removing a wedge of skin, and this procedure can be performed under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure which usually takes about 30 minutes.

Alarplasty will help with narrowing the nostrils and reducing the size of the bottom of the nose. However, you need tip plasty to reduce the bulbous tip as well. As the tip drops down with age you need a cartilage graft to lift up the tip at the same time. Regards Dr. J
I believe you are! I’m sure your surgeon will agree. You look great and you will look even better with the alar base reduction. Just understand if he doesn’t want to be overly aggressive because sometimes reducing the alar base too much can produce unaesthetic results. Best of luck, Dr. Miguel Mota
