Trying to avoid surgey, however want to raise the tip of the nose as it drops to overlap my top lip when smiling currently. Also want the width of the tip and nostrils to be reduced. Could botox work for this? If not, what would recovery look like for surgery and would this be considered a minor surgery?

The scar appears a bit too hypertrophic for silicone sheets to have a discernible effect at this point. Initial treatment should involve a kenalog/5-fluorouracil injection from your surgeon to help modulate the scar maturation. After an injection you should notice some flattening of the scar.
You are a good candidate for alar excision which can be done awake under local anesthesia. Just be aware that not all surgeons like doing alar excisions and some are very conservative when they do it. So choose your surgeon carefully
Based on your photos, I don't see a very big change in the appearance of your nostrils. You may be a bit asymmetrical where your columella meets your upper lip. There appears to be more fullness on your left side and I do not see this asymmetry before surgery. Sometimes this is due to a deviated...
