i would like to have fat transfer to my hips alone as 1 hip is bigger than the other from my previous BBL procedure. I would like to know, with a fat transfer to the hips, when would I be able to sit down. thanks
Answer: Fat grafting to hips Yes you can have fat grafting to one of your hips as long as you have a good "donor" area left to get fat. Patients who have transfer to their hips do sit with much less pain than than the BBL patients. If you choose you could have more fat added to your buttock also if you want to go even bigger. Good luck.

Answer: Fat transfer to hips Depending upon where the fat is injected, it would depend. In general, I allow patients to sit after about 2 weeks but other doctors may suggest waiting longer.

Answer: Fat Transfer to Hips Fat transfer to the hips are frequently done during BBL to re-shape the entire buttock area.In your case after a BBL, it sounds you need to enhance the hip area. If you have a good donor site, fat transfer to the hi area is very possible and sitting would not put pressure

Answer: Fat arvesting and transfer Thank you for your question.Fat can be removed and implanted to another areas on the body. The higher percentage of adipocytes (fat clls) derived stem cells in aspirated fat the better survival of transferred cell at the recipient site.It is considered fat from anatomically related area has a better chance of survival when implanted. For example fat from your other hip are to another on the same hip or opposite hip. However, from from the stem cell content point of view it goes in descending order: fat from inner knees is richest in stem cells, then peri-umbilical fat and fat from outer thighs is with least stem cell properties.Swelling and bruising is common after fat transfer, sitting is allowed but shifting pressure and trying to distribute weight so pressure on treated areas is minimal is advisable during first 2 weeks. 30-50% of transferred fat cells might not survive in the new place and get reabsorbed by immune cells.
