1 year post op - do I need a full facelift revision? (Photos)
I underwent a “deep plane” midface/neck lift with brow lift, fat transfer, CO2 resurfacing, and neck liposuction approximately one year ago with a well-known facial plastic surgeon in the Seattle area. I am now seeking experienced revision opinions because the outcome has been deeply disappointing both aesthetically and functionally. My primary concerns include significant contour irregularities of the neck consistent with an over-resected or improperly managed platysmal/cervical area (“cobra neck” appearance), persistent midface heaviness/sagging despite being sold a powerful lifting technique, worsening marionette folds, asymmetry, eyelid heaviness after brow lift, under-eye wrinkling/bunching, and abnormal tension/pulling with smiling and swallowing. Several surgeons I’ve consulted with have questioned the aggressiveness of the neck liposuction and aspects of the surgical planning/execution relative to my anatomy and concerns. I repeatedly voiced dissatisfaction during post-op visits, but these concerns were largely minimized or dismissed despite clear aesthetic changes and prolonged symptoms. As someone with decades in healthcare operations, compliance, and medical documentation review, I understand healing variability and realistic expectations. This is not a case of expecting perfection. My concern is whether the procedure selection, tissue handling, vectoring, and neck management were appropriate for my anatomy and goals in the first place. I’m looking for honesty.
