Over the last while I have noticed that my eyes are at different levels. I have had rhinoplasty to remove a high bump on my nose, could this maybe made my eyes more uneven?
Answer: My eyes are at different levels, is there anything that can be done to help solve problem? The difference is very subtle between one eye and the other. I would not recommend any surgery. Good luck and be safe.John T. Nguyen, MD, FACS, FICSDouble Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: You were born this way. The rhinoplasty is not likely to have caused this. In extreme situations (i.e. faces that don't look human) craniofacial surgery is used to more the orbits. However, craniofacial surgery is not cosmetic surgery. It is very improbable that craniofacial surgery, with all of its attendant risks, is worth your while. Be careful what you look for, you might find it.

Answer: My eyes are at different levels, is there anything that can be done to help solve problem? (photos) In the photos you seem to have minimal cheek bone asymmetry, minimally elevated left eyebrow and a hollow left upper eyelid sulcus. You may have early left upper eyelid ptosis on a background of facial asymmetry. A examination by a Plastic Surgeon may helpHope you find this useful

Answer: Eyes at different levels Asymmetry between eye levels is very common due to differences in the bones around the eyes. Frequently this is noticed fairly randomly where it has been present all along. I think what we all of a sudden notice is slight differences in aging on the two sides. The most obvious difference between your two eyes is that there is more skin on the right upper lid. While craniofacial surgery would be extreme there are smaller procedures that could help balance the eyes. Sometimes I recommend blepharoplasty surgery for the one lid and/ or filler in the opposite lid to make the fold fuller. When the upper lids look more symmetric the other parts of the asymmetry are less noticeable. Hope this helps and good luck

Answer: Uneveness of eyes It is unlikely that rhinoplasty created the unevenness. There are more drastic procedures such as craniofacial surgery which may address the problem, but it is not recommended in your case.
