Are my tear troughs over filled or just swelling? (photos)

Don't patiently wait for this to settle down.  You will have to wait forever.  These products persist for a very long time.  I have patients back into the office after about 1 week to determine how the service is settling down and if an adjustment is required. Early, this treatment can still be manipulated with digital pressure.  Now that you are three weeks out, the treatment will need to be adjusted with the enzyme hyaluronidase.  Here is the bad news, most injectors really don't understand the aesthetics of this service.  This is why I see patients from all over the world for fixing their filler services.  Don't live with this. Get it adjusted.

Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photograph. You could still be swollen at this point. See your doctor next week for evaluation. If it over filled, you can have it dissolved. Make sure an eyelid expert perform your treatments in this delicate area. Good luck,

You may have residual swelling. I would wait a few days, before following up with your injector. If necessary, the filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Hope this helps.

Now that you have waited the typical 10 day to 2 week time frame for all of the swelling to subside it is important that you return back to your physician for evaluation.  In some cases in does take longer than the 10 day to 2 week time frame for the swelling to subside however for other's a dissolving of the product is necessary.  Best of luck to you.
