Kybella to dissolve fat in upper lip? It has a puffy appearance that bothers me.

Hello, about 10 years ago I got fat injected into my lips but it migrated to the upper part of my lip and it was a poor injection. Could Kybella be used in this area? Thank you!(I know it is not intended for this area but was wondering if it would still work)

NO!Kybella has been used off label in other areas such as the stomach after lipo or front bra roll.  Kybella in the lip is not recommended.  There can be better solutions to your problem, see an expert in your location for a consultation

The use of Kybella for this purpose would be considered 'off label' at this point. There isn't much 'official' information on it's use in the lips. There are a number of providers doing studies on the use of Kybella in areas of the face other than under the chin. I strongly encourage you to be patient, let the experimentation be done in a controlled study environment, and on somebody else's face. Eventually there will be a legitimate answer to your question.

NO, do not even consider using Kybella in the upper lip. The results could be quite unpredictable. If you are really unhappy with fat excess there, you may need to have it removed with an incision (possibly on the inside of the lip depending on where the excess is).
