I had a Lower Blepharoplasty 7 months ago, results were ok like in the 1st picture, swelling happened with muscle roll under the eyelashes like in the 2nd picture, my surgeon did a 2nd Lower Blepharoplasty surgery 2 weeks ago but the same issue with fat or another type of bulging issue is still present, muscle roll was reduced at the expense of heavy creasing under the eyelashes, my experience with the 1st op and seeing exactly the same issues in the same places again tells me something is wrong
Answer: 'Puffiness' and fat removal with eyelid surgery Thank you for your question! You are still very fresh from surgery and although you've provided photos, you won't be able to see the result a this moment in time as you still have swelling from the procedure. If revision surgery is required, your surgeon would typically wait 6 months+ before your body has healed before reviewing your results. Please be assured that you will have swelling with eyelid surgery for a few months, so please do not try and panic, the surgery itself takes a little time to settle down so I really wouldn't make a judgement on your current state at this moment in time!! I'm sorry the first surgery, not enough was taken, which of course will make you anxious about your second surgery, but give yourself some time to heal first and I'm surgeon has addressed the concern.Be sure to catch up regularly with your surgeon throughout your healing. Please give yourself time!Good luck!

Answer: Revision lower blepharoplasty It is best to hold off further treatment for at least 3 months and then get re-evaluated. It is difficult to know the final outcome since you are still swollen.

Answer: When you find yourself in a hole, the first thing you should do is stop digging. You are 8 days out from surgery, It is far too early to know what is going on. I do agree that it is you are highly likely to be disappointed by this most recent surgery but it is far too early to know what is going on. It will be much easier to know this in 8 weeks rather than 8 days. You need to heal before it will be clear what is going on. Please consider reposting at that time.

Answer: Lower blepharoplasty gone wrong looks like twice now, has anyone seen this before? You are still early in the healing process and what you are seeing are not your final results yet. Swelling is still normal at this point in time and should resolve over the next few months without requiring surgical intervention. The best you can do is to wait for a few months to fully heal and then decide if you are satisfied with the results or not.

Answer: 2 weeks after surgery Thank you for your photos. It is hard to predict how your eyes will heal only 2 weeks after surgery. With revision cases, you may tend to swell and bruise more heavily the second time around. This swelling can make you appear to have worsening bags or creases, however as it resolves, you may find that you actually have an improvement. I would not worry right now as to your final result since you will most likely improve as the swelling and bruising subsides. Blood from the bruise is quite inflammatory and means that area will stay swollen a bit longer than the other areas. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MD Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon
