Have one small hard nobbly sore point below skin couple inches above and to left of belly button and one sore area of tissue below left of belly button . I get burning across abdomen often , could these spots be trapped nerves leading to a) sensitivity in these specific areas and b) the burning sensation. This follows tummy tuck / muscle tightening 6 months ago.

Answer: Burning 6 months after tummy tuck. This is not unusual while healing for a tummy tuck. Entrapped nerves typically will be a sharp pain. I typically tell my patients to allow a full year to go buy before deciding something may need to be done. Scar maturation and the healing process is not complete until one year post op. At that point, if you still have the pain, your plastic surgeon can inject the area with local anesthetic. If the pain immediately resolves, it is not likely related to nerve pain.
