Sitting is very uncomfortable after Tummy tuck. Any suggestions?

Even though you are six weeks out from your tummy tuck, you are really still quite early in the healing process.  The hardness will continue to resolve over the coming weeks to months and so will the pulling sensation.  I don't have a good explanation as to why you are more uncomfortable in the sitting position rather than lying down (sitting should take tension off the belly wall/muscle repair).  You should probably have a follow up appointment soon with your plastic surgeon just to make sure that all is well.  Best of luck with your continued recovery!

Thank you for the question. You are still fairly early on in your recovery. In the initial phase after surgery there is a period of inflammation and scarring that must occur in order for you to heal. Over the next 6 months these processes will subside and your symptoms will settle as the inflammatory process gives way to scar softening and remodeling. While the symptoms you are describing can be normal early on, I would recommend continued close follow up with your plastic surgeon as they are in the best position to evaluate and treat you during your post operative recovery. With an in-person examination they will be able to make sure that this is all normal recovery and that there are no issues that need to be addressed.I hope this helps. Best of luck.

Hardness , pulling senasion are due to liposuction and muscle repair, that are part of tummy tuck .Fuzzy feeling happens due to deduced senastion of abdominal area after surgery. All this will decrease gradually over next few months.
