If you still have a small amount of drainage or open areas, or if the incision is being irritated by clothing, it is still acceptable to keep gauze over the wound for comfort. Speak to your surgeon who can best make incisional care recommendations.
Usually by two weeks he formal dressing is not necessary after mommy makeover surgery. This is presuming that there are no wound healing issues however. Every surgeon has his own method of taking care of a wound and you should follow this.

I usually place a absorbant cotton pad over the drain hole, held in place by wrap alone. Thats because some discharge from the drain site happens and that may stain the garments. after 24 hour of removal, drain hole closes and does not discharge liquid. I see no harm in you doing that. Infection...
